Jun Wu, Ph.D.

President & CEO

Dr. Jun Wu is the President & CEO of NAURA Akrion. Before becoming CEO, he held the position of Vice President at Beijing NAURA Microelectronics, where he was responsible for the development of wet clean and chemical vapor deposition (CVD) equipment. Dr. Wu joined the semiconductor industry in 2001 holding various engineering and management positions at AXT, Intel Corp. and Bridgelux Inc. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from the University of Tokyo in 1999.

Ismail Kashkoush, Ph.D.

Chief Technology Officer and GM New Product and New Market Development

As the General Manager for New Product and New Market Development, Dr. Kashkoush is managing all new developments for the 200mm and 300mm Wet Bench Product Lines and their penetration into new markets. In his role as the CTO, he develops the strategy and provides leadership to the Engineering and Technology teams to meet the requirements for new markets and customer needs. As such, he oversees the introduction of the company’s products globally; focusing on the company’s strategic technical needs over various technology nodes and maintains the technology roadmap for all FEOL/BEOL processes. Ismail has been with the company since 1993 and has been in the semiconductor industry since 1988. He holds 27 patents in the field of wafer surface preparation science and technology and has published and co-authored more than 70 articles in the area of micro-contamination, characterization, removal, and control. Dr. Kashkoush conducts regular seminars on wafer surface preparation technology for the IC, MEMS, FPD, and PV sectors. He received his Ph.D. in engineering sciences from Clarkson University (Potsdam, NY).

Robert Mills

GM Legacy Product Engineering & VP Customer Support

Robert (Bob) Mills is directly responsible for current and legacy products as well as global customer support activities. Bob began his tenure with the company in 1996 as an Electrical Engineer and quickly moved into project management. He transitioned to customer support including but not limited to managing technical support, technical training, technical publications, installations, and the global field service team. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a bachelor’s degree of science in Electrical Engineering Technology. He served eight years in the US Navy as a Submarine Nuclear Reactor Operator. Bob is also active in the community currently serving as Chairman Board for the East Allen Township Planning Commission as well previously serving on the Board of Supervisors.

Gary Zimmerman

Vice President, Manufacturing

Gary Zimmerman serves as Vice President of Manufacturing. He is responsible for managing the facility, manufacturing engineering and production planning, as well as production and testing of NAURA Akrion’s extensive product line. He has been with the company and its predecessors since 1992, having managed many of the functions listed above. Gary has been in the electronics industry since 1984, working for companies such as KDI Electronics and Optimax Inc. in various technical engineering functions.

Robert Monko

Vice President, Global Sales

Robert (Bob) Monko serves as the Vice President of Global Sales, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to his current role, and since 2007, Bob served as the Director for North American sales. As a degreed Electrical Engineer and a seasoned sales professional, Bob has been instrumental in the growth of the company over the years and in giving the customer’s voice a central place in the company’s operations. His 27 years of experience with the company has allowed Bob the opportunity to engage in many NAURA Akrion roles including Engineering and Project Management.

Fusheng Liu (David)

Vice President, Business Operations

Fusheng Liu (David) serves as the Vice President of Business Operations. In his role, David manages the Product Applications Engineering (PAE) group, Supply Chain, Quality, and Information Technology organizations of the company. David has over 15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, holding various positions in sales, purchasing, project management and R&D. Prior to his current role, David served the company as the VP of Business Development since 2018.

Michael Lamarra

GM Deposition/Dry Etch & Director of Marketing

Michael Lamarra, General Manager, leads the Deposition & Dry Etch Business Unit. In this role, he is responsible for the worldwide expansion of Naura’s semiconductor equipment solutions. He also leads the Marketing Department for Naura Akrion, providing market research, strategy development, and communications support.  Michael has 30+ years of experience in sales, business development, product management, and marketing roles with companies that provided capital equipment, subsystems, components and chemicals to the microelectronics industry. He has extensive international experience, to include leading the start-up of Akrion’s first Asian operations in Singapore from 1999-2001. Michael earned an MBA degree in Marketing from Santa Clara University and a Bachelor of Science degree in General Engineering from the US Military Academy. Michael is a veteran of the United States Army, having attained the rank of Captain, serving from 1983-1989.

Vicki Vasiu

Director of Human Resources 

Vicki Vasiu is responsible for the company’s global human resources management, including employee relations, employee programs, talent acquisition and employee engagement.  Prior to joining NAURA Akrion Inc. in 2008, Vicki served in a variety of roles in finance, sales, and procurement management at several companies around the world.  Vicki holds a degree in Economics from the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies in Romania.

Michael Ioannou

Senior Consultant

Michael Ioannou is a Senior Consultant with Naura Akrion, Inc. Prior to the current role, he served as President and CEO of NAURA Akrion, Inc. from 2009-2020 and as Chief Operating Officer of the company from 2007 to 2009. Michael joined the semiconductor industry in 1999 holding various executive positions in Engineering, Product and Technology Development and Customer Service in Factory Automation, Ion Implant and Electron Beam technology. Prior to joining the Semiconductor industry, he had a long and successful career in the aircraft industry both in the US and Canada. Michael holds an MBA from the City University in Seattle, Washington and bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Applied Science in Aerospace from the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

James Whittle

Senior Consultant

James Whittle is a Senior Consultant with Naura Akrion, Inc. Prior to his current role, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Naura Akrion, Inc. from 2005 to 2020. He has over 35 years of experience as chief financial officer for capital equipment and consumer oriented manufacturing companies, serving in positions for companies such as Akrion Systems, National Diversified Sales, Inc., where he was CFO, which during his tenure doubled in size through acquisition and organic growth; Data Switch Corporation, a NASDAQ listed public company, where he was CFO and President; and Sterling Fluid Products, a privately held manufacturing company that grew from $60 million to $275 million during his tenure. Experienced in international business and speaking several languages, James has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from North London Polytechnic and is certified as a Chartered Management Accountant in the UK. He is also an International Associate of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
